Lipid, PSA, Vitamin D, A1C & TSH Screenings (New tests added)
The lipid screening includes total cholesterol, HDL/LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose levels (12-hour fast required). The Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) screening alone is not conclusive and should be used in conjunction with a complete physical exam. The vitamin D screening detects deficient vitamin D levels, which can lead to weakened bones. The A1C screening measures how well your diabetes is controlled over an approximately 6 to12 week time period. The Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) regulates the thyroid gland. Thyroid hormones influence virtually every organ system in the body. Results of these tests should be shared with your physician. Fasting is not required for the vitamin D, PSA, TSH or A1C screenings. The fee is $28 each for lipid, PSA and A1C, $25 for TSH and $35 for Vitamin D. To register for this screenings and pay with a Credit/Debit card via phone, please call our class registration line at 630-933-4234.
