SAINT RAPHAEL LITURGY & PARISH BREAKFAST
Set aside Saturday, November 7th. At 8:30 am there will be Divine Liturgy for Saint Raphael of Brooklyn, followed by a parish breakfast. During the meal there will be an informal discussion about our parish, the last 105 years, and what the next five to ten years might look like. There are no plans, no votes, no budgets — just a chance to listen and share ideas. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Please sign the RSVP sheet in the parish hall for breakfast.
OCTOBER IS FOOD PANTRY MONTH AT SAINT GEORGE
The churches in Norwood each take a month during which they make an extra effort to collect for the local Food Pantry. At Saint George, our month is October. Please contribute generously this month — and always! There is a need for non-perishable food items, as well as personal care products. Monetary donations are also accepted. There is a grocery carriage outside the church (so unless it is pouring rain) please leave your items there. Everything we collect is delivered to the food pantry on Thursday mornings; .

DEACON EPHRAIM’S ORDINATION
We are invited to Deacon’s ordination to the priesthood on Sunday, November 22nd at Saint George, Little Falls, NJ. It is customary for a new priest to serve Divine Liturgy in the days after his ordination. As he and his family will be here for Thanksgiving, there will be Liturgy on the 26th, 27th and 28th, all at 8:30 am. The last date is a Saturday and we will plan a breakfast afterwards (we need volunteers to help.)
MINISTRY FAIR
Just because the advertised days of our Fair have ended doesn’t mean you can’t continue seek ways to offer your gifts at Saint George. And don’t be surprised if some of the folks already engaged in this work approach you and ask if you are willing to join in the ministries of the parish. There are flyers posted around the building with names of those who can show you how to become involved.
SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAM IS BACK
Class is in session: Our students and teachers are the first to receive communion. The homily also shifts to the end of the service — this is to allow more time for learning since two groups meet in the hall where we also have coffee hours. A third class meets in the parish office and the older class is now meeting in the back of the church after everyone has received holy bread and exited the nave.
