"The Gifts Of Change"
The Sunday talk is "The Gifts of Change"

Dear Beloved Ones,

As you all know, change is occurring and we've all heard the phrase, "The only constant in life is change," which is so true. Are you currently experiencing changes in your own life? There’s obviously change happening at Unity in the Rockies, as Rev. Ahriana has completed her ministry at Unity in the Rockies and now you have the opportunity to bring forth your new minister. Are you excited? Are you fearful? Are you perhaps a little of both?

I invite you to ask yourself, "How am I with change?" Do you like or enjoy change? Do you dislike or resist change? Are your experiences of change dependent upon what the changes are and what they may signify?

This Sunday, I will dive into this very timely subject with you. We will explore the 3 “R’s” of change and how these apply in our lives. We’ll also look at the 5 stages of change and learn how we can best navigate each of these stages until we reach the place of transformation, when the change becomes complete.

I look forward to meeting you all this Sunday as we come together in community knowing that “Change is our opportunity to evolve into the next phase of our fullest expression of Self!” And so it is. Blessed be.

With great gratitude and love always,

Rev. Liz

The Gift's Of Change
September 3rd, 2021- Rev. Liz

If you are a new Unity student or if want to strengthen your foundation of Unity teachings, this class is for you! This four-week class covers the founding of the Unity movement, affirmations and denials, and much more!

This Class will meet on Sunday, October 3rd from 11:30 to 12:30 pm on Zoom.

Please contact Linda Anthony at rlmanthony4unity@aol.com to register. We need your email address so you can receive the link to the class and the handouts. Looking forward to an exciting class.
The Bingo team of about 10 volunteers, started supporting games for Unity in the fall of 2014. Today, we still have several of those original volunteers who come each week. We are all good friends, and we really enjoy each other’s company and we have a fun while we run the Bingo game. Outside of Bingo, we celebrate birthdays (sometimes celebrating with a meal in a restaurant) and keep track of how each other are doing. Bingo can bring in $3000 or more each month to really help out our budget. Bingo is one of the best fund raisers I know of.
Since June we are down 3 volunteers and we need to have some additional folks help us out. If you could volunteer once a month for about 3 hours, (any Wednesday from about 11:30 to about 2:30 at Carefree Bingo (on North Carefree Rd. about 1 block west of Academy), it would help out the Bingo team greatly. 3 hours per month doesn't sound like a lot but each time someone helps the team for 3 hours, another volunteer can take a day off. If you could help out 2 times a month or even be a ‘regular’, that would really be a big help.
You need to either be a member or on a path to become a member and you need to be vaccinated.
Please contact me at dontur@gmail.com if you can give us a hand!

Thank you!

Westside CARES’ most needed items:

Westside CARES’ Holiday programs:

ThanksgivingWestside CARES will be collecting King Soopers gift cards (suggested $60 for each family) but all denomination welcomed. The gift cards will be inserted in Thanksgiving cards and delivered to the school counselors on Monday November 15th. Once received the counselors will distribute to families in need before thanksgiving break.

Due to Covid, Unity board members have decided for this year, those who chose to participate will drop off their King Soopers gift cards individually at Westside CARES (Monday-Thursday 0930-12PM) by no later than Monday, November 8th. Please no Walmart cards for this program.
Additionally, Westside CARES is gratefully receiving monetary donations of any size on their web page under “donate”.

Christmas Adopt-a-Family Program:
This year’s program will be slightly different than last year. Instead of sharing the addresses for families in the program openly, those wishing to adopt a family will be provided contact information individually. It will then be up to the adopters to coordinate with their family via phone or email to determine a comfortable place to meet and make a delivery (home or neutral location). Details to follow soon, the goal is to have adopters matched with a family by Thanksgiving. Westside CARES is still recommending gift cards rather than tangible gifts because of positive feedback received. Gift cares enhanced the family’s dignity as the parents and children were able to shop for their own family members.
