The Du Tri Su is one of the Three Essentaial Mantras of Bon. The purpose of the Du Tri Su is to helpinbeings not to be reborn in the lower realms.

On April 27 at 7:45 p.m. central time Latri Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche will be doing the Grand Sur in dedication to all victims of the Corona Virus. He invites everyone to join him tonight for this special Sur in dedication.

Follow along with him, on behalf of all attending he will be adding on your behalf the blessing tsampa for all attending. This is a blessing for all victims of the Corona Virus and for all attending.

The Grand Sur Chod



Rinpoche has decided to do a Grand Sur Chod ceremony on Monday, April 27 ^th at 7:45 p.m.  This Grand Sur Chod is more elaborate offering than the daily Sur Chod.

The entire Grand Sur Chod is dedicated to all victims of the Corona Virus, the people who are ill, who have died, first responders, nurses, essential workers , people struggling because of the virus. 

Rinpoche has asked the students to recite the Du Tri Su mantra as much as possible, and keep track of their accumulation. He has asked students to e-mail their total accumulations to [email protected] by May 6th, the day before the Grand Sur Chod.

Rinpoche will dedicate the entire accumulation of the mantra in the Grand Sur Chod.

Students can download the Sur Chod prayers from the Yeru Bon Center website.

The Mar Sur Chod

So far in this program Rinpoche has performed the Kar Sur, or White Offering. 

On May 7 ^th at 7:45 p.m. central time, Rinpoche will perform the Mar Sur Chod (the Red Offering).  The Kar Sur is a meatless offering; the Mar Sur includes a small amount of meat. This offering has a different quality than the Kar Sur Chod, . The Mar Sur Chod is usually done when there is a war, disaster, pandemic or other event that kills many people.

Rinpoche will do the Mar Sur Chod to help the victims of the Corona virus to liberate themselves from the Bardo state and to satisfy the wild spirits or negative energy beings who are responsible for creating this pandemic.
