Hello friends,
My morning routine has shifted lately.
When the morning alarm goes off I say, “Good morning Google”. Before my eyes are even open, I receive the current weather report, followed by the headlines of the day. Then a podcast begins – Bill has this set for sports. News is coming to us from every direction. Today I heard updates from around the world; the shipwreck in the Gulf of Mexico, the unrest in Minneapolis following the shooting, a proposed end to war in Afghanistan, even an update about Mars. I am still amazed that photos from Mars appear on my iPhone.
As Christians we hear this daily news informed with the words of Jesus who encourages us by saying, “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” At Westminster, we will be hearing how the power of Jesus transforms lives both long ago and today as we highlight the Surprising Acts of God.
You are invited to join us for worship this Sunday at one of the three worship services listed below. In addition, we will be talking about a bit of our own news. Following the 11:00 worship service we will be providing an update on the latest legal news regarding our former business manager. Together we will hear and celebrate the Good News God has given.
With Easter joy,
Louise

WORSHIP ON SUNDAY, APRIL 18
|
|
Christ’s story did not end with an empty tomb; his resurrection set off a host of unexpected changes within individuals and the community. The Acts of the Apostles records these surprising events that gave birth to the early church. Still today, God surprises us as the story extends to the end of the earth.

Walk in the Spirit

Gilfillan Trail
We will meet at the Gilfillan Gardens gate directly across from the north parking lot.
You are invited to “see God in the everyday” and join us to Walk in the Spirit on Gilfillan Trail. While it is still difficult to offer group labyrinth walks and remain socially distant, the trail provides a familiar space for group walks. This is an occasion to walk with the intention of inviting the Spirit to be present as we commune with nature and enjoy casual conversation.
