FINAL DECISION FROM CITY COMMISSIONERS

SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 4th REGARDING WILLIAMS RANCH BUSINESS PARK REVISED PLAT

A motion was made, seconded, and unanimously approved to deny the revised plat application for the following specific reasons:

  • It doesn't provide for the appropriate buffers or setbacks between areas of different uses taking into consideration in the planning and zoning board’s recommendation.
  • Pollution that may be caused by the proposed warehouse business park including noise, light and air.
  • It does not promote public health, safety, and general welfare.
  • The reserve table has an error in it and the city secretary is incorrectly named.
  • Concern about the traffic and it's incompatibility with the surrounding neighborhoods.

Thank you all who participated in every way. Being present and speaking at the meetings, writing, and calling to protest were all important to making our case.

  • Our extra benches have been installed! We urge you to check them out! Both benches have been installed along lakefront sidewalks. One is located on Del Webb Blvd, near the Mistflower intersection. The other is located in the CenterPoint powerline easement area, near the pump station.
  • We are in the process of adding new signs along some of our sidewalks reminding bicyclists to "Yield to Pedestrians" and "Pass Cautiously".
  • Additional fencing/panels will be added to the gates of both the Pickleball and Tennis Courts to further prevent persons from being able to enter without a card. If you are not in the habit of bringing your card to get into these areas, please make sure you start doing so.
And, as always, if you have any questions, please give us a call at 281-239-4455 and a member of the team will gladly assist.
