EEOC UPDATES GUIDANCE REGARDING COVID VACCINATIONS/EMPLOYMENT

It’s Still Not Easy
Federal law does not prevent employers from requiring employees to be vaccinated.
If only it were that simple. For example, can you fire someone who refuses to be vaccinated (we’ve been reading about a number of challenges to that in court right now)?

The EEOC put out a long Q&A regarding many of these issues. It’s helpful but not 100% complete.

As always, call your counsel or HR expert for specific questions, and keep in mind that states and municipalities are starting to develop their own requirements for employers as well.
