The 2026 Blue Crab Festival is Saturday
Join members of the Rotary Club of Richmond for the 2026 Blue Crab Festival Saturday, September 12, at Child Savers - The Overlook! Featuring the Wyman Brothers entertainment, blue crabs steamed on site, Silent Auction, beer, wine and family friendly games and entertainment. We'll have non-seafood options from a local Food Truck available. All is included in the ticket price or sponsorship. Ticket price will increase on 9/10 to $85 each for adults and $20 for children 13 and under so get your tickets now before the price goes up!
Check out our amazing Silent Auction here, you don't need to be present at the festival to bid on or win the items. Bidding is live and ends on 9/12 at 2:00pm.

Meals on Wheels
Grab a buddy and/or make a new friend! Meals on Wheels is in need of drivers and runners Thursday mornings. This is a two person volunteer opportunity!
Phil Freda is heading up this effort. Sign-up sheets are always available at our meetings.
Drivers and volunteers are needed for September and October! Make new friends and make a difference in our neighbors' lives.

Project Warm
Did you know Project Warm is starting its 50th year of service?
Started in 1979, Project Warn volunteers have split wood at the wood lot and delivered wood to individuals who depend on wood only for their heat source.
Since 1994, Project Warm volunteers have traveled 33,000+ miles and have made deliveries to 8,000+ individuals!
All those deliveries today would fill an equivalent of 4,000+ full size pick up trucks with 2100 cords of wood, an estimated worth of $682,662 in today's market!

Karl E. Humberson, VP, Project Construction - Offshore Wind
Dominion Energy
"Dominion Energy's $11B Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project"
Karl E. Humberson is the Vice President of Offshore Wind Construction at Dominion Energy. In this executive role, he leads the engineering, installation, and construction of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project, a massive 2.6-gigawatt megaproject located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach. Set for completion by early 2027, CVOW is currently the largest offshore wind energy project under construction in the United States.
Humberson joined Dominion Energy in 2011 as manager-Fossil and Hydro Projects. Prior to joining Dominion Energy, he worked with other like-minded energy companies with a focus on engineering, operations, construction and commissioning.
Karl attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, and an officer’s commission in the United States Navy. Humberson attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the US Naval Reserve.

SuAnne Hardee Bryant, District 7600 DG Official Visit
“Create Lasting Impact”
SuAnne Hardee Bryant serves as the District Governor (DG) for Rotary International District 7600 for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. She has been a dedicated Rotarian since 2006, primarily serving through the Rotary Club of Chesapeake.
Professionally, she is a highly regarded trial and family law attorney practicing in Virginia and North Carolina. Bryant has a long history of local and regional service leadership roles. She led the Rotary Club of Chesapeake from 2011 to 2012, served as Assistant Governor from 2019 to 2021. Has served District 7600 in a number of Committee Chairs -- Public Image (2021–2022) and Rotary Leadership Institute (2022–2024) programs. She was awarded the Rotary Foundation District Service Award 2013–2014 and the prestigious Citation for Meritorious Service in 2019.
SuAnne is active with the Vice Chair of the Rotarian Lawyer Fellowship and the International Fellowship of Rotarian Scouters. Outside of her Rotary duties, Bryant maintains a prominent legal practice as an attorney with the Davis Law Group, P.C. based in Chesapeake, Virginia specializing in Family Law, collaborative divorce, business litigation, and employment law.
She is licensed to practice in both Virginia and North Carolina State Bars, as well as the U.S. District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals and has been selected continuously to the Virginia Super Lawyers list from 2017 through 2026. She is deeply involved in community outreach, church, and Scouting programs serving as an "Eagle Mom" to her son, Brandon, who serves as the Chartered Organization Representative for Scout Troop 234—a troop proudly chartered by her home Rotary club.

Heather Mullins Crislip, Executive Director. The Richmond Forum.
"Bringing the World Stage to Richmond"
Heather Mullins Crislip is the Executive Director at The Richmond Forum. Founded in 1987, the Richmond Forum is America's largest nonprofit speaker series, dedicated to bringing influential leaders from various fields to engage and inspire the Richmond community.
Heather joined the Forum in 2021 after 9 years as President and CEO of Housing Opportunities Made Equal of Virginia. Prior to this, positions included serving as Chief of Staff & Executive Assistant to the Chancellor at the University of Hawaii System. Earlier in her career, she served as Policy Analysis Assistant for the City of New Haven CT and as Deputy Director of Welfare Department.
Heather is a graduate of Blacksburg High School, holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mary Washington and a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is married to Andrew Crislip, professor of history at Virginia Commonwealth University and has two daughters.
