The rest of the sermon discussed tragic and heartbreaking incidents in Father’s life such as:
1. His wife, Sun-kil Choi, and 7 year-old son coming to visit him, but his not being able to embrace them at that time.
2. The persecution arising from students and professors being expelled from Ewha University.
3. The persecution and imprisonment of church members in Czechoslovakia and other Communist countries, some of whom died as well as the miraculous guidance that several experienced during that time.
4. Father’s speech in 1991 to top officials in the North Korean government in which he bluntly told them that they must abandon Communism and allow religious freedom. Church members traveling with Father feared they might all end up in prison or worse, but it was followed by a meeting where Father embraced his archenemy and mass murderer, Kim Il Sung, and promised to invest hundreds of millions to bring North Korea out of poverty and pave the way for closer relations with the South.
I finished by showing a video interview with the neurosurgeon, Dr. Michael Egnor, who explained how hundreds of brain operations led him to abandon atheism and a materialist worldview and to embrace the reality of God.
