Dear Friends,
Our Weekly Bible Study continues on Monday, January 23rd. We gather in the Fellowship Hall on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for a brief "Prayer at Noon" from the Book of Common Prayer. Then we read and discuss the readings for the coming Sunday. All are welcome. Please join us if you are able.
Tomorrow, (Sunday) we gather as a Community of Faith, and as a Parish Family, for our Annual Parish Meeting. We will gather in the church after the Eucharist concludes (it may take us 10 minutes or so to prepare for the meeting--a good time to stretch and to take a break before the meeting).
At the meeting, we will elect new members to serve on our Vestry, approve the budget for 2023, and hear reports from our Treasurer, Junior Warden, Senior Warden, and Priest-in-Charge. All are welcome!
Many thanks to our Nominating Committee for their hard work in helping the Vestry to select the candidates for the Vestry Class of 2023 (Liz Beebe, Pat Mast, Amy Smith). The candidates who have agreed to serve on the Vestry are:
Bill Bahn,
Evans Goodling,
and Donna McLay.
The Collect for the Third Sunday after the Epiphany
Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world may perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
THE WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY will take place this year, January 18-25. It begins with the Feast of the Confession of Saint Peter the Apostle and concludes with the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle. Let us pray, in the words of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that we "may all be one."
THE VESTRY RETREAT will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Mariawald Retreat Center.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE for Jim Hathaway will be held on January 28, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Brethren Village Chapel located 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
