• The Government of Alberta appointed the Affordable Housing Review Panel to review Alberta’s affordable housing system. The review will explore ways to make affordable housing even more affordable and accessible for people with low income. The Panel is accepting email submissions at AffordableHousingReview@gov.ab.ca
• Tri-CALA & Parkland County Libraries is offering Tech Drive at various locations each week. Laptops and FREE WIFI

• COVID-19 still present and is affecting our inclusive communities activities.
• Cautious re-opening of public services, (Libraries have limited services and starting to slowly increase)
• Different mind sets of the public identified. Some cautious, some accepting the new normal of mask/precautions and some in denial.
• The isolation of certain groups during COVID-19 was highlighted again. (people living in group homes, people living in care homes, youth etc)

• Understanding Newcomer Experiences of Inclusion. A research project exploring newcomer well-being in Alberta. Looking for survey participants.

• Seniors Centre Without Walls August Calendar is up with tons of programs to help reduce social isolation
• Cultural Campfires see Patrick Kizehe talk about his journey to Canada as a refugee from Congo. Next week Third Culture Kid Kirsten Chute-Ibsen talks about growing up in Germany. Join us Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the Multiculutural Heritage Centre Perc Building.
