New Biostatistics Chair
Dr. Heather M. Bush has been named Chair of the Department of Biostatistics, effective immediately. She is the second individual to hold the post since the establishment of the College.

“Dr. Bush has already proven herself an able leader, serving as interim department chair since August 2017,” said Dean Donna Arnett. “I look forward to working with her in this role, and anticipate that her tenure will be marked by continued excellence in the Department of Biostatistics.”

Building a Health Coalition Across Jurisdictional Boundaries
The publication "Cross Jurisdictional Boundaries to Build a Health Coalition: A Kentucky Case Study" by Dr. Angela Carman and Dr. Margaret McGladrey (past CPH Assistant Dean) appears in Frontiers in Public Health.


William S. Witt, MPH alumnus, Dr. Terry Bunn, and Dr. Svetla Slavova are authors of the publication "Workers compensation-reported injuries among security and law enforcement personnel in the private versus public sectors" appearing in the journal Injury Epidemiology.

Dr. Akosua K. Adu, DrPH/Epidemiology alumna, is a co-author on the of the publication "Measuring Women's Empowerment in Sub-Saharan Africa: Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses of the Demographic and Health Surveys," appearing in the journal Frontiers in Psychology.
