Times

Timberwolf Team,

The air is filled with excitement as our campus gears up for a month brimming with joy, learning, and community spirit. There are only 10 instructional days left before our well-deserved winter break and I am excited for us to finish strong. These final days are an opportunity for our students to demonstrate their academic and personal growth through MAP Testing, upcoming ACPs, end-of-semester concerts and performances. I encourage you to reflect on your successes throughout the school year to help you set sight on ending the semester on a high note. Let’s make these last 10 days count!

One Pack, One Goal,

Ashley Toole

#BeTheLight: Week in Review

Shout out to Ms. Cortney House, 7th Grade ELAR Teacher and Student Council sponsor, for her work with Student Council Ambassadors, who represent our school in community-facing events like this week's amazing VPA performances!

Shout out to Ms. Simmons for engaging her children with a fun metric system lesson using the mnemonic "King Henry Died Drinking Chocolate Milk." Children were immediately able to put the mnemonic and learnings from their lesson into practice in their follow-up work. Within these lessons, Ms. Simmons makes sure to address the needs of all children.

Students in Ms. Marilyn Crane’s Debate Class are gearing up for their upcoming debate competition where they will deliver their arguments on whether or not unions are good for workers. Way to go Ms. Crane!

Shout out to students in Ms. Quincy Taylor's 7th Grade Honors Math classes who challenged themselves to show the most growth on MOY MAP!

Shout out to Ms. Duran for planning an incredible 1st grade field trip to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science!

Ms. Lyndsey Litton (6th Grade ELAR) and Ms. Laura Hall (6th Grade ELAR ILT) provide meaningful feedback to all of their students as they complete to two Short Constructed Response questions for their recent Chocolate Collection Amplify Sub Unit. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Boys Soccer - HISTORY MADE!

For the first time in school history, our boys soccer team made PLAYOFFS! They finished the season with a 4-2 record. Now they look to use this momentum and make a run in the post season. Congratulations to Coach Garza and Coach Torres on leading this fun group.

Girls Soccer - DISTRICT CHAMPS

After earning the second seed and sneaking into the playoffs last year, our girls soccer team was all business this year. They went undefeated in the regular season and became district champions for the first time in school history. Now as the number one seed, they will head into the playoffs for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Coach Lamont and Coach Castro on leading this amazing group of girls!

Girls Basketball - Present and Future

Our 7th girls finally got their first game under their belts. It was a tough battle throughout the whole game and unfortunately they were narrowly defeated by just one point. It has been a great learning experience practicing everyday with our 8th grade city champs. Our 8th grade girls is still undefeated and they will look to be more competitive in an upcoming non-district tournament.

Boys Basketball - Past and Present

Our 7th grade boys are still undefeated after winning against Tasby. The future looks bright as they will be looking to go into championship mode next year. Our 8th grade boys will look to bounce back and get their first win against Long on Monday.
