The
Timberwolf
Times

Greetings Timberwolf Staff!

We are not just educators; we are guardians of dreams, facilitators of growth, and stewards of potential. Quality instruction is about cultivating a love for learning that will last a lifetime. It's about recognizing that each child is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and potential. It's about carefully preparing the environment for our children and their needs.

In our pursuit of quality instruction, let us also remember the importance of monitoring student progress. Just as a ship needs a compass to stay on course, we rely on assessments and observations to gauge the direction of our students' learning journeys. These insights empower us to adapt and tailor our instruction to suit their individual needs, ensuring that our children have the access and opportunities to pursue their passions.

The children we serve are torchbearers of a brighter future. Together, we have the incredible opportunity to ignite their potential and lead them toward a world full of promise and light.

One pack, one goal,

Ashley Toole

#BeTheLight: Week in Review

Kudos to Ms. Alexandria Organ who is working on vocabulary connections with her 6th Grade Science students to improve content knowledge and reading comprehension!

Shout out to Ms. Quincy Taylor's data wall celebration for her 7th Grade Math students! 70 percent of her first period got masters on the most recent Carnegie test, and two of them got a 100 percent 💯

Shout out to Mr. Jaime Garza (6th Grade World Cultures & 7th Grade TX History, Athletics Coach) for his consistent implementation of academic vocabulary, background knowledge, and student input throughout his lessons. Mr. Garza dedicates countless hours to ensure he is prepared to always give his best to his students. Whether on or off the field, Mr. Garza’s investment in our students can be seen and heard!

Shout out to Ms. McKay for including engaging stations as part of her lesson! In the video, you can see how she lays the groundwork so that children can successfully and safely engage in the activities.

Our generous Community Partner Contran Corporation adopts a Walker family during the holiday season.

Contran adopts the entire family, not just our student, and they love to bless a family with multiple children in the home.

Our nomination deadline is November 5 so gifts can be delivered before Winter Break.

Please recommend a student/family that would most benefit from being adopted by Contran by November 5!

Amplify Materials Update

95% of Amplify materials have arrived! Since we no longer need to reserve space for more books, we can now store readers in room 251. Please remember that consumables (activity books) go home with children once the unit is complete. Readers can be carefully placed on this shelf that is located right outside of room 251 to be stored for the upcoming school year.

Our generous PTO would like to sponsor 20 PWM families this holiday season.

The whole family will be adopted, not just our PWM student, and they love to bless a family with multiple children in the home.

Please recommend a student/family that would most benefit from our PTO angle tree by November 1st!
