For 30 years, The Toigo Foundation has helped open doors for some of the most talented under-represented minorities working in the investment and finance industry today. We view our work as an essential move toward financial equity and inclusion, as well as a step to dispel the myth that minority talent does not exist.

Recent events have forced us all to pause. As we seek to address the devastation of a pandemic that has disproportionately taken the lives of so many people of color and work to reshape our organizations for a new future, we are further derailed by the senseless killings of African Americans over the past few weeks and the ensuing outpouring of rage throughout our country. It is a source of the most profound sadness in our hearts.

Now is the time for all of us, together, to appropriately address the pervasive, systemic and institutional racism in our country. We cannot allow it to go unnamed and unchecked. Together, we must dismantle the overt and covert structures and practices that make a mockery of every well-meaning corporate policy promoting diversity and inclusion.

The Toigo Foundation has invested three decades supporting our students and alumni. Our hope rests on their leadership to guide our future.

We invite all our partners to work with us to write the next chapter of our country’s history – to put your courage, your conviction, and your social capital to work. Let’s finally push past what is comfortable to what is possible.
