SUPPORT THE TIMOTHY TECH FUND
Monday, November 13, 2023
Please help The Timothy School reach its goal of 100 donations by making a gift of any size during our Day of Giving on Monday, November 13, 2023. All money raised will go directly to support the Timothy Tech Fund.
The Timothy Tech Fund ensures that every student has the technological tools they need to succeed including:
-
Assistive Technology, such as iPads to help non-verbal students open up their world and learn to communicate with their teachers, family and friends
-
General Technology, such as SMART Boards, instructional iPads and Chromebooks to increase students’ abilities to engage with and access learning opportunities
Your gift will enable our students to learn, grow and thrive in school, at home and in the community. THANK YOU!

The Timothy School parents, families and friends made Halloween SPOOKTACULAR for our students by decorating their cars for Trunk-or-Treat.
Whether it was through verbal communication, sign language, a picture system or assistive technology devices, our students were able to say, "TRICK OR TREAT!" as they visited each car.
Thank you to ABA Centers of Pennsylvania for donating the very popular treats of poppit keychains and coloring pages.
Festivities continued in the classrooms as well as in the Daily Living Center where the Middle School planned and prepared a party. The DLC is an integral part of The Timothy School’s program as it is a fully-functioning home that allows us to teach independent living skills in a natural environment.

Thank You for Supporting the 5k Family Fun Run & Walk | Thank you to all of the 5K participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers for supporting the 5K and raising more than $6,000 for The Timothy School’s programs and resources! |
Special thanks to Platinum Sponsors ABA Centers of Pennsylvania and Best Healthcare Planning; and Gold Sponsors, LPL Financial and John Byrne Painting, as well as the hard working volunteers from Giant Food Stores and the Conestoga High School Key Club. We are also grateful to Bryn Mawr Racing Company for managing the event.
We are appreciative of our Secondary Program students for preparing the swag bags for the 5K. They did a great job sorting, counting and collating all of the items and putting the bags together. This is a great example of how The Timothy School incorporates real-life learning opportunities into the school day.

The Haverford School Pen Pals
Our Lower School students were excited about visiting their third grade pen pals at The Haverford School. The boys were paired up and, together, explored the world of art and music, ate lunch and then enjoyed social time on the playground. Mrs. Thorburn, The Haverford School’s third grade teacher said, “We're truly thankful for the wonderful friendships that continue to blossom through our enduring partnership with The Timothy School.”

Newsflash: Tim TV is On-the-Air
Thanks to a generous grant from The Connelly Foundation, TimTV is a new on-campus internship program for our Middle School students. The Timothy School’s internship program is a creative and thoughtful way for students to work on generalizing mastered skills in a real-life work setting.
Our intrepid TimTV news reporters research the stories, write the reports and then broadcast the “breaking news.” Students in the internship program are also working hard behind the scenes as the set-up and camera crews.
Special thanks to The Timothy School team of educators who built the TimTV internship program from, literally, the ground up.

Timothy Crafters are Busy Elves |
The Timothy Crafters is one of the unique programs offered at The Timothy School. As part of the on-campus internship program, students in the Middle and Secondary Programs learn and practice valuable skills by making professional-quality crafts while in a relaxed, social setting. The Timothy School's young entrepreneurs then sell the items to benefit the school's annual fund.
The crafters have been working on a large custom order, as well as preparing for upcoming craft shows. Stop by, say “hi” and do some holiday shopping:

Secondary Students "Camp Out for Hunger" | |
For the 10th year, the Secondary Program will be collecting canned foods for WMMR Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger to benefit Philabundance. We are so proud of our students for giving back to the community and helping people in need while practicing essential social and life skills.
Please help our students with this meaningful tradition by donating non-perishable food in the drop-off bin outside of the main building from November 8-15, during school hours (8:00am-3:00pm).
If you are unable to make a delivery during school hours please contact Lauren Frederick, lfrederick@thetimothyschool.org.

The Timothy School is thankful to WAWA, Holiday Inn Express, JoAnn Fabrics and Trinity Presbyterian Church for partnering with our school and providing internships for our Secondary Program students. The skills and work experience that the students receive from these internships are invaluable to their lives after graduation. Our students also volunteer at Daylesford Crossing- SageLife Senior Living, where they socialize, cook and play games with the residents.
Does your company offer internships? Please consider partnering with The Timothy School and helping our students learn and grow in a real-life work experience.
Please contact Transition Supervisor, Adam Carter acarter@thetimothyschool.org

The Timothy School is the oldest non-profit approved private school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to teaching students with autism. Since 1966, we have worked to develop an understanding of autism that recognizes the strengths and uniqueness of our students and the specialized methods needed to expand their educational opportunities.
