Dear SASEAS school families,

I am still amazed at what a great day we had last Friday for our Run4Fun! The weather was great. We even had a rainbow start the day! Thank you to all our parent volunteers, staff, and especially Shannon Wenstrup and Corie Spialek for their hard work in organizing a great run. We raised 33,556 dollars! Mark your calendars and plan your Super Bowl parties because we have earned a day off after the Super Bowl! This fundraising money helps us complete projects that are not possible with our base budget such as major technology upgrades and facility improvements.  Thank you!!!

Parent/Teacher Conferences will wrap up tomorrow evening. If you still want to schedule a conference with your child’s teacher, please call the St. Andrew Campus or Seton Campus office. There are still times available and Pat Clayton or Sandy Reed will help you.  Please know that teacher conferences can occur throughout the year as the need arises. Any successful school understands that there must be a strong partnership between home and school. Thank you for trusting us and partnering with us in your child’s Catholic education and formation.

This past Tuesday we held our first Saint Awards of the year. This year teachers are nominating one student from each grade level to receive the award. Students are being recognized on a regular basis over the announcements for practicing their Catholic Virtues and through this process our teachers decide who from their class best practiced the Virtue that was chosen as the focus for that month. That choice is not easy as all of our students have been working very hard to be positive with one another and do the little things for each other that make a big difference. The virtue for the month of September was kindness and the Saint we focused on was Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Congratulations to Alyssa Hirsch, Billy Bowers, Dory Bowers, Ali Bacca, Ben Corbin, and Peyton Wood for being chosen to receive the Saint Award for September.

Everybody Counts week is next week Oct. 21 – 25 at the Seton Campus for grades K-5. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students to understand the different physical and learning disabilities that children face and have to deal with on a daily basis. Understanding a disability helps us understand more that we are all children of God and that we all have special gifts given to us by Him regardless of any disabilities. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who come into the classrooms to make this week possible.

PTO will be holding a magazine sale starting October 24 th . So if you are looking to renew a subscription think about doing it through the magazine sale. Also our next restaurant fundraiser is next Wednesday, Oct 23 rd and it will be at Chipotle in Milford. Be sure to make next Wednesday Chipotle day and support the school at the same time.
