Greetings From Mr. Estes... | | |
Dear SASEAS Families,
With fall conferences behind us I want to thank our faculty and staff for investing the additional time necessary to prepare and conduct these important collaboration opportunities. As I have mentioned previously, maintaining open communication between the school and families is a critical component of the optimal performance of most students. Thank you as well to our families for taking the time to meet with our teachers.
Although I was unable to attend our PTO sponsored Trunk or Treat event this past Friday, I have heard many conversations about just how great it was. I have also seen numerous pictures of the amazing decorations and costumes. Thank you to our PTO volunteers and the families who made this such a fantastic success! I am consistently impressed with the love and dedication of our SASEAS community.
Our Halloween celebrations will continue this Friday, October 30, at both campuses. Following lunch and recess at our Seton campus we will have classroom parties and our school parade. Once again, students in grades K-5 will be wearing their costumes to school on that day, please be mindful of this as you are selecting their costumes. As always, please also be mindful of general appropriateness as well, no blood, gore, or weapons please. If you are able, please join us at our Seton campus for our annual parade which will begin outside the front entrance of the school at 2:30.
At our St Andrew campus students will be participating in group activities in the afternoon. Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 may come to school out of uniform dressed in halloween colors. They may also wear halloween accessories, they may not wear masks or actual costumes. Please follow other normal out of uniform policy guidelines on this day as well.
Make it a great week!
Paul Estes

It is Halloween party Week! We would like to thank all our room parents for their hard work planning and organizing our preschool parties. Thank you!
SASEAS Preschool will be sponsoring five local families this holiday season. On Thursday a paper turkey will be up in the Preschool hallway. If you’d like to donate an item for Thanksgiving dinners, take a feather listing a needed food item from the turkey.
See more details in the Upcoming Events section below.
This week Mrs. Christina’s three-year-old classes have a Halloween (and Bats and Spiders Eeeek!) theme. They are tracing monster shapes in math and making candy corn art. They are learning a Skeleton Dance in music and going on a “Spooky Walk”. In religion they are talking about the virtue of Patience stressing taking turns and waiting.
Mrs. Sheila’s class is learning to draw triangles and will turn them into candy corn with yellow, white, and orange stickers. They are making mummies and spider webs in art this week and going on a color spider hunt as they search and write the room
The theme in the four-year-old class is “Halloween”. They are focusing on the letter “H” and using the letter “H” to make a haunted house. In math they are counting spiders on a spider web and in art they are making ghosts and a bubbling cauldron with paint, soapy water, and a straw. In religion they are answering the question, “What is a Saint?”, and learning about All Saint’s Day.
The five-year-old class is working hard on their Halloween centers this week. They are writing the room by finding and writing letters that are caught in webs hidden around the classroom. In math they are counting eyeballs and spiders and in art they are creating a spider in a web painting. In science they are making exploding ghosts and in religion they are learning about God’s promise to Noah.
Parents, please be on the lookout for Conference sign ups. Preschool Parent Teacher
conferences are on Thursday, November 5th during the evening and Friday, November 6th during the school day. If you haven’t seen a sign up for your child’s class, contact the preschool office and we will get you signed up for a Conference. Remember that there will be no school for preschoolers on Friday, November 6th.
Thank you,
Mrs. Aimee

Step Into Leadership
Board Positions Opening Soon!
Ready to make a bigger impact with Boosters? Our President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are stepping into their final year in these roles — which means now is the perfect time to start preparing to lead.
We're looking for dedicated volunteers to shadow one of these positions for 6–12 months before officially taking the reins in 2028. It's a rewarding way to give back, build lasting relationships within our community, and help shape the future of SASEAS Boosters.
Interested, or just want to learn more about what each role involves? Reach out to Jason Reeves at saseasboosterspresident@gmail.com — we'd love to talk with you.
If you are interested in joining the Boosters Executive Board please reach out to Jason Reeves by Friday, October 30.
