Dear Parent(s)

We have not received a new application for many students this year.  It is a requirement that you re-apply for free and reduced school meals each school year. Your child/children's benefits will end on Monday, September 17, 2018.

We must receive and process a new application before Monday, September 17, 2018 or your child/children will be charged full price for meals. It may take a few days to process your form and you will be responsible for all charges until your application is approved and information has transferred to the local school.

School lunches cost $2.25 in Elementary Schools and $2.50 in Middle and High Schools. Breakfast cost is $1.50 at all schools, where available.

Put ALL your children's names on one application form. This means elementary, middle and high school student names should be listed on the same form. Completing more than one form may delay your approval.

You may reapply online at the following Website:

Please note that your online application may take 1 to 2 days for approval. Additionally, application forms are available at all local schools.
STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP
As a reminder, ALL student drop off and pick up occurs on the entrance to the side of the school from the Riverside Parkway. Do not drop off your student from the Old Norcross entrances.

"Tardy to school" students should also be dropped off in the side parking lot off of Riverside Parkway. Tardy passes can be obtained from room 611 or the attendance office.
After School Leadership/STEM Academy

Your child is eligible to participate in the NMCC 21st Century Leadership/STEM academy being held during the 2018-2019
school year. Students will receive academic support in their core content subjects (English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies) and will engage in meaningful enrichment activities that will include computer science, 3-D printing, aquaponics, forensic science, music production/technology, and virtual reality. Another component of the program is wellness and fitness where students have the opportunity to learn more about yoga and strength training in a professional gym. We are also partnering with certified teachers from Gwinnett County Public Schools as well as teachers from Sylvan Learning and Math 1 on 1 to provide academic support Please complete the attached form to register your child NOW.

Parents should register for the PARENT PORTAL and stay informed about student attendance and academic performance in the classroom.

Access to the Parent Portal moves with students from school to school, therefore re-registration is not required once completed. This is true as long as a student remains enrolled in a GCPS school. Leaving and returning to GCPS requires a new registration.
Parent Portal registration must be done in person at the school the student attends. This requires a photo ID and the person registering must be a legal, designated parent/guardian of the student. The registration form is available to download and print.
