SYC is thrilled to celebrate Halloween with a "Trunk or Treat" event on Wednesday, October 30th, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Participants can start parking their cars in the SYC office lot between 5:30 PM and 6 PM. You can either use your vehicle or set up a table. Don’t forget to bring treats to share with the little trick-or-treaters and get creative by decorating your vehicle or table for some Halloween fun! The participant with the best-decorated vehicle/table will win a $50 SYC Gift Certificate, which can be used toward any regular SYC registration.

Is your athlete ready to take basketball to the next level? If so, it's time to consider trying out for one of our county basketball teams! Alongside our SYC Recreational (Rec) Basketball Program, we proudly offer a County Basketball program. This program competes in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (FCYBL), joining forces with other elite teams from youth clubs across Northern Virginia. Designed for players in grades 5 through 8 who are eager to engage in a more competitive environment, our County program features tryouts where coaches assess and select players for their teams. We have a separate boys league and girls league.

NOTE: Players who registered for fall open gyms do not need to register again for tryouts.

Fall Volleyball is off to a great start! In conjunction with our travel volleyball league, we welcomed approximately 400 players this season. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who generously offered their time to coach. Thanks to your support, our volleyball commissioner, Deanna Murray, was able to accommodate many players from the waitlist, who are now enjoying their experience playing volleyball this fall.
