High Holy Days are coming!
Preparing for the High Holy Days
Dear Friends,
As the High Holy Days are upon us and University Synagogue is preparing, we welcome new families and greet our returning community. As we open our doors for the beautiful spiritual time of the High Holy Days, we look forward to seeing you and your family. Here is some important information about membership renewals and upcoming High Holy Day communications.
If you have not yet renewed your membership, please contact us ASAP. Once we have received your renewal form, we will be sending you your High Holy Day tickets and new car decal(s) in the mail. Renewals received after   August 24th will need to come to the office to collect your sticker and tickets prior to Erev Rosh HaShanah on September 9th.  Alternatively, if you have not received your renewal packet or have questions regarding your membership, please contact our Membership Programs Coordinator, Lauren Kaplan, at (310) 472-1255 or at .
High Holy Days is a busy time at University Synagogue and we want to make sure that you are in the know. Please be on the lookout for a High Holy Days FAQ shortly after Labor Day. This document will go over all things High Holy Days related from parking, to tickets, to security, and more.
As always, if you have any questions or need any assistance, or just want to say hello, please contact me directly at 310-472-1255 or at .
See you at the BBQ this coming Friday night!
Shalom ,
Zichronam Livrachah
Dr. William H. Miller , father of Lori Miller.

Arianna Sasson Lowitz , daughter of  Dr. Barry Lowitz.

Work will occur Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. At least one lane will remain open in each direction during the entire duration of the construction. Mitzvah Corps:
We're Here For You!
University Synagogue Mitzvah Corps is here, and we care!  Dedicated to serving our fellow congregants as they encounter major life cycle events, we will gladly send a welcome gift to a new baby, and provide support for ill or mourning congregants and their families (delivering a hot meal, completing a minyan, running an errand, etc.).

If you’re in need of some TLC from the Mitzvah Corps, please just inform any clergy member or the synagogue office.   We’d also love to have you join us as a volunteer — the demands are few and the rewards are plentiful!

Please contact Susan Wieder at .
