Hello, TEAM SR!
Fall is officially here, and fiscal year 2024 is in the books. We trailed behind our year-to-date budget for most of the year but never lost sight of our end goal. I’m proud to share that we have not only caught up but expect to exceed our projected FY 2024 budget, once again proving to be an asset to Houchens Industries. We expect September results to be solid and will wrap up our audited financials in the coming months. Consistently meeting budget expectations is critical to our ability to contribute our share of ESOP distribution payments to our parent company, Houchens Industries. This payment supports the obligations created by the employee-owners of Stewart Richey, as participants in our incredible retirement benefit. We are fortunate to be part of a highly successful, 100% employee-owned company.

Our Trades Proud videos have not only highlighted the incredible work of our Stewart Richey tradesmen and tradeswomen but have also been instrumental in showcasing how exciting and gratifying it is to be part of the work that builds America.
Construction plays a crucial role in shaping the environments where we live, work, and play—it’s essentially the creation of communities. Whether it’s Stewart Richey Service Group managing repairs and maintenance for homes, commercial properties, and industrial facilities, or Stewart Richey Contracting Group providing skilled tradespeople for the construction of schools, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, hospitals, and essential underground infrastructure, each division contributes directly to the improvement of our communities.
To all Stewart Richey’s skilled tradespeople, the significance of your work is profound. Watching a project evolve from blueprints to completion is immensely rewarding, knowing you played a critical role in bringing it to life. The results of your efforts last for decades, sometimes even a century.
In closing, continue to be VERY PROUD of the work you do and encourage those around you to consider the Trades as their career path. Stewart Richey is the BEST place to work for those who desire to be in “The Trades”.

Safety Snapshot: Mentoring Growth | |
As we continue to grow, mentoring new employees becomes more and more important. Mentoring those employees is essential for promoting both the safety and productivity within our company. Experienced mentors have practical, on-the-job knowledge that goes beyond the basic training, equipping newcomers with the skills needed to identify safety risks and apply best practices effectively in real world situations. This personalized instruction not only sharpens new hires’ safety awareness but also builds their confidence to address potential hazards. As a result, mentored employees are typically more likely to follow safety protocols, significantly reducing the likelihood of accidents and injuries. This focus on safety not only protects all our employees, but also minimizes interruptions to production caused by accidents and injuries.
