Alumni in the Spotlight:
Dr. Kristie (Koenig) Patten (HN 1983) was recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) for her critical work in “Strength-Based and Client-Directed Occupational Therapy Practice.”

Megan (Hinkle) Young (HN 2008) works full time as Preparedness Coordinator for Montgomery County Dept of Public Health, working at the spear of the fight of the COVID-19 pandemic, manning the Emergency Operations Center, collating data to monitor the cases, setting up test sites and coordinating the public health response in coordination with the military, state and federal support to the response. This is in addition to volunteering as the EMA coordinator for Fleetwood Fire Company.

Derek Burton (BC 2014) graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2018. He received his Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston University and, after completing 1000 hours of Field Placement at The Cambridge Family & Children Service Center this year, he was hired Full-Time by the Agency as a Clinical Case Manager.
George Ortiz (HN 2003) opened American Barber & Beauty Academy in Reading's Lancaster Ave Plaza.

Meghan Buckley (HN 2009), MS is the Math whiz making an impact in local healthcare, featured in Philly Magazine.

Jordan Neiheiser (BC 2013) plays soccer in the Hey Day Athletics Philadelphia Sports League. Her team won first place in the long 2020 season.

Tyler Reddy (HN 2008) passed the bar examination in CA.

Nicholas Jankowski (CC 1996) graduated in December 2020 with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, with a focus on analyzing heat transfer in high power electronics. He recently became an advanced electronics program manager after five years of leading the Thermal Science and Engineering team at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD. Nicholas also serves as a District Finance Vice Chair with the BSA Baltimore Area Council, and is the Committee chair for his children's boy and girl BSA Troops. His wife, Rebecca (Dean), is a middle school substitute teacher with Baltimore County Pubilc School system. His oldest daughter, Ashleigh, is in her second year as a Biomedical Engineering student at Rowan University, and his other children, Jeremiah and Samantha, are in their Senior and Freshman year at Catonsville High School.

Richard Zerkowski (CC 1988) and his wife are proud to welcome their second grandchild into the world. Beckett William Duff joined his brother Greyson and was baptized at the Historic Church, a part of St Joseph’s Parish in Jacksonville, FL.

Lois Kubinak (HN 1979) earned a Master of Arts Degree in General Education and Special Education from Albright College.

Joseph Falcon (HN 1978) is a Retired AF Veteran and has lived in Europe for 33 years. He is married and has been a professional photographer for over 40 years.

Tim Born (HN 1971) and USNA 1975 and his wife Dana, USAFA 1983, recently moved from Boston to their family home in Alexandria, VA to be closer to their two daughters who followed in their footsteps and are currently attending school in DC metro area. Eldest daughter (Hanna USAFA 2020) is a Second Lieutenant in the USAF currently attending graduate school at Georgetown University (MS program in Big Data and Analytics) prior to entering pilot training. Youngest daughter (Heather USNA 2023) is a Midshipman 3rd class (sophomore) at the United States Naval Academy and plans to go Marine Air upon graduation in 2023. Although Tim’s enjoying retirement, his better half continues to serve as a Chair and Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, MA.

Deacon Michael Laroche (HN 1971) worked for 42 years with Social Security Administration. He is currently a Deacon for the Allentown Diocese, 25 years ordained. He is married to Wilhelmina and has 2 children, Veronica who is a Library Director and Brendon who is a Catholic priest.
