Presidents Message
Haters Gonna Hate
As long as President Trump continues to deliver on all of his campaign promises and do what the majority of Americans elected him to do, the liberals in this country will continue to hate. As many have said, hate is all that is left of the Demoncrat’s message (not a typo!)
It must be difficult to be a liberal right now. You have to want illegals to continue to invade our country through open borders and commit horrific crimes, believe that trans males should be allowed to compete in women’s sports, support excessive spending and government waste, believe that people should be hired based on their race, sexual orientation and nationality rather than merit and experience; and you have to want government involved in every aspect of our lives.
| | | |
Your bleeding heart wants to give and continue to give to anyone who claims a need until our country is broke. You have to be idealistic and unrealistic. You have to hate America.
Every effort is being made to stop our President from accomplishing what will Make America Great Again. The worst part is that these haters have the full support of the main stream media. These people are still melting down over the fact the Donald Trump won the Presidency by a huge margin and is working every day to do the best for our country.
Example in point – his bringing Elon Musk on board. This man sent a rocket to rescue two astronauts stranded in space (something our government was unable or unwilling to do). Did the main stream media cover this story? No, they were too busy covering stories of the poor and sad violent gang members being deported. His genius was brought in by President Trump to discover and remove years of government waste. He is draining the swamp more every day and the slimy creatures surfacing from the dark don’t like it.
It begs the question – why you would not like this cleansing process unless you are afraid it will shine a light on you? I was recently told by a neighbor that his Tesla was the best car he ever had but will never buy another one because “of that idiot”. My grandmother used to call that cutting off your nose to spite your face. If Republicans don’t like the position a company is taking we simply stop buying Bud Light- we don’t go around lighting fire to Teslas.
I guess it is true that haters are gonna hate no matter what you do, but I continue to believe that there are more of us than there are of them and I wake up every new day with a smile on my face because Donald Trump is my President!
God Bless! Dale

Legislative
'Call to Action'
California Voter ID Initiative
We MUST restore the integrity of California’s elections – and to do that, we must qualify and pass the CA Voter ID Initiative in 2026!
| | |
In September, 2024, Newsom passed SB-1174 outlawing VOTER ID to cast a vote in the State of California. That act along with REFUSING to abide by a COURT ORDER to purge the Voter Registration Roles has left California Voters DISENFRANCHISED regardless of race, age, or socio-economic standing.
The challenge is this: to enact the VOTER ID Initiative, we must collect over 1 million signatures to place the Voter ID Initiative on the ballot.
- FIRST: Sign up to receive the Initiative when available
- SECOND: Sign up to Volunteer to Collect Signatures
- FINALLY, if you can donate to support the effort a link is available
| | |
STEP 1: Sign the Online Petition
Sign the online petition here: www.VoterIDPetition.org, This puts you on the list to be mailed the initiative for signing when available. This list is needed to show prospective INITIATIVE DONORS that we have the BOOTS ON THE GROUND to get the signatures required!
| | |
STEP 2: Volunteer to Collect Signatures
WVRW will be an ACTIVE PARTICIPANT in SIGNATURE GATHERING with our Board Members volunteering as Area Leaders.
Please Send WVRW an email of your interest and we'll contact you when the INITIATIVE is available. Please put VOTER ID in the subject line.
You will have the support and help you need, so sign up here:
| | |
STEP 3: Support the Initiative
Reform California must raise between $1-2 million to ensure the success of this initiative. Your contributions will help fund the campaign efforts, including the printing of petitions, outreach to voters, and other essential activities to get the CA Voter ID Initiative on the ballot.
Contribute here: www.VoterIDinitiative.org

The Art Thief, by Michael Finkel
Jan - Our January selection is The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession, by Michael Finkel.
Stéphane Bréitwieser is the most prolific art thief of all time.
He pulled off more than 200 heists, often in crowded museums in broad daylight. His girlfriend served as his accomplice.
His collection was worth an estimated $2 billion. He never sold a piece, displaying his stolen art in his attic bedroom. He felt like a king. Until everything came to a shocking end.
In this spellbinding portrait of obsession and flawed genius, Michael Finkel gives us one of the most remarkable true-crime narratives of our times, a riveting story of art, theft, love, and an insatiable hunger to possess beauty at any cost.

Blind Spots: When Medicine Gets It Wrong, and What It Means for Our Health, by newly confirmed FDA Director, Marty Makary, MD
From Johns Hopkins medical expert Dr. Marty Makary, the New York Times-bestselling author of The Price We Pay-an eye-opening look at the medical groupthink that has led to public harm, and what you need to know about your health.
Dr. Marty Makary asks, Could it be that many modern-day health crises have been caused by the hubris of the medical establishment?
| | |
Experts said for decades that opioids were not addictive, igniting the opioid crisis. They refused menopausal women hormone replacement therapy, causing unnecessary suffering. They demonized natural fat in foods, driving Americans to processed carbohydrates as obesity rates soared. They told citizens that there are no downsides to antibiotics and prescribed them liberally, causing a drug-resistant bacteria crisis.
In Blind Spots, Dr. Makary explores the latest research on critical topics ranging from the microbiome to childbirth to nutrition and longevity and more, revealing the biggest blind spots of modern medicine and tackling the most urgent yet unsung issues in our $4.5 trillion health care ecosystem. The path to medical mishaps can be absurd, entertaining, and jaw-dropping-but the truth is essential to our health.

Patricia Sampson
Our new VP - Hospitality
| |
A transplant from the East Coast, Patricia has lived in California for 40+ years.
After watching the government and management of California progressively deteriorate during that time and being horrified by the political lawfare and unjust bias she saw after the 2016 election, Patricia found WVRW and joined to learn more, find and associate with like-minded people and embrace conservative values.
She has worked at high-tech companies for several decades in communications and marketing roles and brings her experience to our club as the Events and Hospitality lead.
Patricia has an MBA from Pepperdine University, lives in Thousand Oaks with her partner, Jeff, and enjoys baking, pickleball, travel, reading, and hiking.
