Funded by The Children’s Trust since 2004, the program provides free parenting support for families with children from birth to age three in Miami-Dade County. ETC supports the arts throughout the United States by awarding cash grants to non-profit performance groups. Grants are modest and limited to a maximum of $5,000 in order to distribute funding to a greater number of worthy organizations. Preference is given to organizations producing their own work rather than to hosting venues. Applying and meeting qualifications does not guarantee an award. The Committee typically receives many more applications than can be funded. ETC may partially fund any application at its discretion.

The Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health was created to address a serious and growing problem for the next generation. With the Innovation Awards, we hope to further this goal by identifying and advancing new, impactful ways to help address mental illness in children and young adults.
This initiative invites U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charities with an annual total revenue under $5 million to submit innovative ideas for advancing children’s mental health. There are two award categories: the Innovation Awards ($100,000 each) which are open to all, and the Next Gen Innovation Awards ($25,000 - $50,000 each) which are open to nonprofits founded and/or led by leaders under 32 years old, with more than two years in operation. SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that transforms public high school students into college graduates. SEO Scholars successfully educates and mentors students to and through college. 100% of Scholars are accepted into four-year colleges, 85% of Scholars graduate with a Bachelor’s degree, and 80% are first-generation college graduates.
The goal of our Mentor Program is to ensure each of our scholars becomes a competitive college applicant and confident aspiring professional. It matches small groups of 10th grade scholars (3-4) with a mentor to get the guidance and tools needed to help them throughout this exploratory year. Mentors will support their students with (1) career-building skills, (2) college and career exploration, and (3) building their network. The 2025 Eyes On Your Mission (EOYM) Annual Video Grant applications open on May 16. The grant provides nonprofits with a free video production and visual storytelling promotional package. This package includes: communications strategy, videos, still photos and social media content.
Grants have been awarded to selected nonprofits that exhibit innovation, creativity, and future-thinking. The grant is international, multi-lingual and considers a diverse range of causes and organizations. The organization that sponsors the grant is headquartered in Miami and Chicago, however, any NGO globally is eligible and invited to apply. They encourage previous applicants to apply again with fresh updated ideas.

The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for performing a variety of strategic community initiatives and community-focused duties to benefit children and families and elevate the contribution and awareness of The Children’s Trust. This role manages partnerships, collaborative community projects, and direct engagement with anchor institutions, community-based organizations, parent and youth groups, funders, and other partners, providing linkage to The Children’s Trust and evaluating and responding to community needs concerning children.
The Community Engagement Manager participates in and supports in organizational solicitation management and grant-making; including but not limited to managing workflow processes and meeting team deadlines. This role also oversees programmatic work, including but not limited to, multi-party program planning and contract execution, facilitating development of and timely reporting of reports and deliverables for funders and anchor institutions, corporate sponsorships and programs, and future collaborations, as assigned.
The incumbent exercises independence of action and will possess considerable knowledge of community activities and needs for children and families and use considerable professional judgment in the performance of community engagement work. The Community Engagement Manager serves to mentor leadership skills and opportunities for partner organizations to influence positive changes for children and families. The incumbent will dialogue with community leaders and stakeholders on key issues affecting children and families through community engagement efforts to increase The Children’s Trust’s understanding, and ability, to meet these needs. The incumbent may also support the organization’s efforts related to public policy and intergovernmental relations.

Genesis Hopeful Haven provides housing and support services to former foster youth ages 18+. Their Lead Housing Specialist is responsible for directly ensuring that residents in 6 of the 8 homes have the structure, support, and safe environment needed to reach their goals and to eventually live independently. To do this, the Lead Housing Specialist provides individualized support to participants focusing on increasing academic achievement, financial literacy, acquiring and maintaining employment, meeting program expectations and maintaining housing. The Lead Housing Specialist develops a life skills case plan for former foster youth and oversees implementation of the service plan. The Lead Housing Specialist will also work closely with a future part-time Housing Specialist (TBD), who will eventually be responsible for providing resident support for 2 of the 6 Lead Housing Specialists’ homes and for operational support.
This is a full-time role, based in the Cutler Bay, Kendall, Homestead, Palmetto Bay and Colonial, FL areas and will report to the CEO/President of Genesis Hopeful Haven. The salary for this role will be between $50,000.00-$55,000.00US based on experience. This role is a 100% in-person position, with a majority of the time being spent in the field. This role will also eventually collaborate closely with the part-time Housing Specialist and a current Housing Assistant.

The Peer Support Specialist provides a variety of services including but not limited to advocacy, training, facilitating recovery, educational and enrichment groups, linkages to community resources, and mentoring. Through their personal and professional experience, the Peer Support Specialist supports families and/or individuals seeking to achieve and sustain recovery to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence. The Peer Support Specialist empowers families and/or individuals by teaching them how to navigate the behavioral health and child welfare systems to achieve resiliency and recovery as defined by the individual and or family. The Peer Support Specialist acts as the “bridge” between the individual and/or family and the case manager or service provider, increasing awareness of their perspective and improving effectiveness of parent-professional partnerships.
This role involves providing support and guidance to female clients who are pregnant, have children, are recovering from substance use, or have experienced mental health issues. Personal experience with substance use, substance use recovery (minimum 2 years recovery), or mental health challenges preferred.
