California Bill AB 1797, which is in the voting process, would create a database tracking the “COVID-19 vaccination" status and "race or ethnicity" of most Californians. A statewide "immunization registry" like this would unfairly discriminate against and segregate Californians who don't want a particular injection or injections. Those who choose not to get injected would be targeted “in the event of a public health emergency” and deemed a danger to “pupils, adults, and clients to ensure health and safety.”
