National Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 21-28, but we recognize the contributions that volunteers make to SOAR365 every single day!
Last year, SOAR365 engaged nearly 1,000 volunteers who gave over 10,600 hours of service to our organization. Volunteers support our mission in so many ways. From volunteering at annual events, to working outside to keep our spaces accessible and safe, to jumping in to provide our participants with unique opportunities and new faces – volunteers do it all. National Volunteer Week gives us the opportunity to say “thank you” to our incredible volunteer team. Our goal at SOAR365 is to be best-in-class in everything we do. Volunteers are at the core of that by giving their time and energy back to our community. If you work with a volunteer in your department, give them an extra dose of appreciation in April!

Created in 2013, the Active RVA Certification and Awards program recognizes the Richmond region’s exceptional employers and schools that are implementing innovative programs to promote physical activity. SOAR365 has received the Active RVA certification for several years. This year, SOAR365 was the proud recipient of the Active RVA Company of the Year award in recognition of all the work that the organization, through its Wellness committee, has done toward the well-being of our staff and program participants. Here’s an insight into the types of things we have done over the last year. Congratulations to all!
