Pulling together a great night to raise money for our school seems like it would be a piece of cake. I mean, it’s only a five-hour event, right? How many people does it take to make this night a success for Ursuline?
The answer is ALL of you!
Our mini fundraisers leading up to the auction have been quite beneficial for the Ursuline community. Together they brought in $1,270 plus, the Fathers’ Club, Bear Moms, and Alumnae Association have dug deeply into their pockets to donate funds to the auction. This money has enabled us to add a new item to the live auction, An Urban Bourbon Experience, that will certainly get those paddles in the air!
Not only did our community, parent and alumnae groups help to fundraise for our auction; our girls and families also contributed their time and Serviam spirit. Back in November, our school families pounded the pavement, putting flyers on doors in the Glendale community to raise awareness for Ursuline’s December toy drive for Whole Kids Outreach. More girls then delivered these toys, serving families in rural southeast Missouri living in impoverished conditions. These actions were recognized by Walt Disney World, resulting in a donation of 10 one-day Park Hopper passes for our auction. What a great reward!
Whether it was feeding your family, raising your glass, shopping for the latest fashions or distributing flyers, your participation in these events showed how coming together as a community can lead to a common good. From parents, to students, to alumnae, everyone has played a part in making this night a success already. We are so blessed that our Ursuline community unites for such great causes. For that, we thank you!
