The past year has presented the challenge of managing and planning for “normal” while at the same time, adapting to the ever-changing circumstances of a historic pandemic. Looking back, I’m proud of the way we navigated each turn, with great deliberation and input from all.
Now, as we return from Spring Break with sunny and warmer weather just around the corner, it’s time to get out and have some fun again! Spring and summer offer the chance to host outdoor events where we have lots of space to spread out and the risks related to Covid are minimized. Our campus will be active all summer with camps serving students aged 6 to 14! Along with traditional athletic camps, Ursuline will be hosting camps with YMCA, St. Louis Chess Club, Bricks4Kids and COCA. It’s an opportunity for us to welcome future Bears!
As we gradually move toward what feels more normal, we are going to spend some time reflecting on all that we have learned and which of the adaptations we made might become permanent. During what has been a fairly bleak time, our students have continued to strive toward goals and achieve them. And there have been some terrific memories made along the way. We’ve grown together this year and I look forward to continuing to do so.
