Ursuline Academy Community Newsletter | October 2025

Letter from the President:

Dear Ursuline Community,

As much as this edition of the Ursuline Academy Community Newsletter is “chock-full” of information, it is just a glimpse of all that has been taking place so far this year. Of special note are highlights from the ceremony marking the transfer of our sponsorship from the Ursuline Sisters to the Ursuline Education Foundation.

And in the gathering of students for the Sister School Volleyball Tournament, we see the significance of this milestone in our history: the continuation of a vibrant global ministry focused on the formation of young women in the example of St. Angela.

These busy few months have left me with a great sense of gratitude to the Sisters and excitement for all that’s to come.

All my best,

Peggy Slater

President

Did You Know?

There’s a history to the annual Ursuline Sister Schools Games. It all started 20 years ago with field hockey. UA Athletic Director Jen Brooks took the lead from other sister schools and launched the first games at UA in St. Louis. Today, the program is stronger than ever, with sister schools' volleyball squads from Wilmington (Delaware), New Rochelle (New York), and Dallas (Texas) joining our Bears in September for fun times and competitive games. Check out more about the history of the games here.

Congratulations!
