Aftercare at Ursuline Academy

Ursuline Academy is committed to providing a fun and safe aftercare program. The purpose of the program is to enhance the academic and social development of our students in a supervised environment. The aftercare program is divided into Toddler 2-Pre-K and Kindergarten-7th grade.

During our Aftercare for Toddler 2-Pre-K, students are given opportunities for both inside and outside activities. During Aftercare for Kindergarten through 7th grade, students are provided with a quiet environment for homework, as well as time to relax with their friends, enjoy self-led activities, and outdoor time.

Counseling Corner

Seniors, you can create your Common App account now and begin working on applications for colleges that have already opened their Fall 2026 admissions. Starting early will give you time to polish your personal statement, build your activities list, and explore your options.

Important update: Common App and Scoir are launching a new integration this Fall. Beginning in early September, you’ll be able to link your Common App and Scoir accounts, making it easier to track your college list and application status in both places. Until then, you should:

  •  Create your Common App account
  • Add your high school in Common App
  • Start working on your application materials

Director of College Placement Myan Sandifer Wright is back on campus to help students one-on-one, whether they have questions about essays, application strategy, or setting up their accounts.

Seniors, Order Your Cap and Gown!

Seniors are required to wear their graduation regalia for the Class of 2026 Ring Mass, which will be held on Friday, September 5, at 10 a.m. in the National Votive Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Cap and Gown orders must be placed through Herff Jones by Sunday, August 17.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor at Home

Each week, a designated student will take home an 11" resin statue of Our Lady of Prompt Succor along with an intention card. Each intention card will be collected and remembered in prayer by our community. Students will be able to keep Our Lady in their home from Friday through Tuesday, returning her to school on Wednesday.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, patroness of our city and state, hasten to help us!

Parents in Prayer

On the first Thursday of each month (September through May) at 8 a.m. in the Shrine, the Academy will host "Parents in Prayer" – Eucharistic Adoration and rosary, followed by coffee and fellowship.

We hope you will be able to join us for our first Parents in Prayer on Thursday, September 4, at 8 a.m.

*Please note: You can park in front of the Shrine and enter through the main doors. Rosary begins promptly at 8 a.m. and is usually done by 8:20 a.m. For those who have to get to work, you can feel free to leave. If you would like to stay, you are welcome to remain for Eucharistic Adoration and/or join us in the Shrine Room for coffee and breakfast treats.

Traditions Mass and Blessing of the Backpacks + Serviam Shuttle

Please join us in the Shrine on Sunday, September 7, at 9:30 a.m. for Traditions Mass and the Blessing of the Backpacks and our brand-new Serviam Shuttle!

The Traditions Mass honors those families for whom an Ursuline education is a tradition and also celebrates the families who have chosen to make it a new tradition. Join us in prayer as we celebrate our entire Ursuline Family. Students, please bring your backpack to Mass for a special blessing! We look forward to also bestowing a special blessing on our brand-new Serviam Shuttle. Our beloved Sister Regina Marie will be returning to State Street for this special tradition.
