MyKidsSpending

As a reminder, if you wish for your child to purchase breakfast and/or after-school snacks from our UA Café by charging it to her MyKidsSpending account, you can add funds and keep track of their expenses using the MyKidsSpending app.

Please be aware that because breakfast and snacks are optional offerings, our system will not allow your child to make a purchase if their MyKidsSpending account is negative.

All students in grades 4th-12th are required to show their ID to purchase breakfast or after-school snacks if using their MyKidsSpending account; 1st-3rd grade students will be able to give their name.

If the student tries to purchase breakfast or a snack but does not have a MyKidsSpending account or if the account does not have available funds, the student will receive a letter to notify their parent.

If you would NOT like your daughter to have the option to purchase breakfast or after-school snacks, please email our Sage Dining Director at cmiller@sagedining.com, and your daughter's account will be suspended.

Ursuline is too special to remain the “best kept secret in town.” We need your help! You can assist us by:

  • Submitting a referral here. Do you know a student who should be invited to visit Ursuline? Please complete the form here to be sure they receive an invitation to an Ursuline event this fall. For every referral you submit, you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a $125 gift card to Haase’s Shoe Store. The winner will be selected on December 1, 2025. Every referral equals an entry into the drawing.

  • Share your Ursuline Academy pride by displaying a yard sign. Current families get a special discount, and unlike the open house yard signs, these can be displayed year-round! Use parent discount code UAYARD25.

Beyond Our Borders 2026 l Bethlehem Farm l June 7-13, 2026

There are still a few spots open for current 10th and 11th-graders to register for a faith-based experience rooted in sustainability and community at Bethlehem Farm from June 7-13, 2026, in Alderson, WV. This experience is inspired and informed by Pope Francis' Laudato Si' encyclical, which focuses on care for the natural environment and all people.

This trip is a true example of Serviam in action, giving our girls the opportunity to serve in the U.S. alongside students from other Ursuline schools.

The application is open here and requires a $50 deposit via check made out to Ursuline Academy to save your spot. For any questions, please email Campus Minister Ms. Beth Joubert at bjoubert@uanola.org.

High School Counseling

Last week, Ms. Buccino engaged the juniors in a conversation about healthy communication skills and how these skills can help them to strengthen relationships, reduce stress, build self-confidence, and reinforce appropriate personal boundaries. Earlier this month, the High School Wellness Squad lent a helping hand during Elementary School Grandfriends' Day.

By now, seniors should have finalized their college list, including reach, target, and likely schools; registered for any final ACT exams if necessary; completed drafting their college essays; and begun working with their families on the FAFSA, which opened on September 26.

PSAT for Sophomores & Juniors l Wednesday, October 29

Sophomores and Juniors will take the PSAT on the morning of Wednesday, October 29. For Juniors, this is the qualifying test for the National Merit program. Students will receive information about the test, including creating a College Board account, the format of the test, and how to access prep materials. Parents, please make sure that your student is at school on time on Wednesday, October 29, and has a charged computer. If a student misses the test on the 29th, she will be able to make it up on the 30th or 31st, but the test can't be taken past those dates.

Students will receive their scores electronically, so it is very important that they create a College Board account in advance of taking the exam. General questions can be sent to Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, Jennie Guidry, and questions regarding College Board Accommodations can be sent to the students' counselor, Tracy Buccino.

Sophomores and Juniors will be able to leave following the exam (approximately 11:15 a.m. for standard time and 12:30 p.m. for extended time). Please note this is a regular full day of school for 8th, 9th, and 12th graders.

After the fun, children may go home or return to class by 10:30 a.m. for the rest of the day. Carline will start at 2:40 p.m. for T2-Pre-K, and everyone needs to be picked up by 3 p.m. Lily House has a full day and closes at 5:30 p.m.
