Narrative Reports

On Wednesday, September 17, all NEW students and all 8th-grade students will receive written narratives from their teachers updating parents on how students are progressing. These reports will be published to Blackbaud under the Report Cards Link on the student's Progress Page. Please note, all student accounts will show the link for these reports. Again, narratives are only written for NEW students and 8th graders at this time. 

Ray Dass FREE PSAT/SAT Booster Sessions

Ray Dass is offering free PSAT/SAT Booster Sessions to all students at Ursuline Academy. In these sessions, they will provide high-value content that the students can take advantage of in the weeks leading up to the tests.

Sacrament Preparation at Ursuline Academy

We are excited to once again be able to offer preparation classes for second-grade students to receive their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion at the National Votive Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Preparation classes will be taught by Sarah Gunn and Christy Zurcher weekly after school in the Spring Semester. First Reconciliation will be on Saturday, February 28. First Communion will be on Sunday, April 26. If you would like your daughter in second grade to be prepared and receive her sacraments here, please complete the form linked below.

25-26 Work Study Opportunities

The Work Study Job sign-up is now open for the period from September 2-November 21. To sign up for a job, please visit the link here. Please contact the Business Office at business@uanola.org if you have additional questions about work study. Non-work study families can volunteer via this form as well. Many hands make light work!

Parents' Club Mane Event l Thursday, September 25

Join us at City Park's Carousel Gardens for Leis and Lions: Parents' Club Mane Event 2025 on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 6-9 p.m.! This is one of our community's favorite events of the year and the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Parents' Club. After the exciting night out, our students can enjoy sleeping in the next morning, as there is a 9:30 a.m. late arrival to school on Friday, September 26, 2025. 

Students who purchased Mane Event T-shirts can wear them to school on Thursday, September 25, with a school jumper/skirt and school shoes.

Lions on the Loose

Lions on the Loose, a fee-based, after-school enrichment program offered to our Toddler 3-4th-grade students, is back for 2025! Ursuline partners with vendors to offer a variety of class choices for our students, allowing them the opportunity to try out new things conveniently after school hours and on campus! Grab a friend and boogie on over to Ursuline for a girls’ night filled with fun games and activities, a chance to explore campus, and learn about what it means to be part of a sisterhood filled with love, peace, and soul!

Pink Game l Wednesday, October 1

Join us on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, for the Pink Game vs. McGehee. The 5th and 6th-grade team will be playing in the Wellness Center Gym at 3:45 p.m. The 7th-grade team will be playing in the Wellness Center Gym at 4:30 p.m. High School Junior Varsity starts at 4:30 p.m. in the Ourso Gym. High School Varsity starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Ourso Gym.


Shirts will be available for pick up on September 30, 2025. T-shirt purchase includes free entry into the Pink Game vs. McGehee.

K-7th Grade Grandfriends' Day l Friday, October 3

Please join us on Friday, October 3, for K-7th Grade Grandfriends' Day! We will begin with Mass at 9 a.m. in the Shrine, followed by group activities in St. Ursula, Lion's Den, and Legacy Dining Hall. For the safety and well-being of our school community, an RSVP is required by Monday, September 29. Your response ensures we can prepare appropriately and provide a safe, welcoming experience for all.


Please note, K-7th-grade students will be dismissed early at 11:30 a.m. on this day for Parent Teacher Conferences at 1 p.m. More details regarding K-7th-grade Parent Teacher Conferences to come.

Upcoming STEM Community Events l Saturday, October 11 and 25

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Tulane's Girls in STEM at Tulane (GiST) program provides 5th-7th-grade students the opportunity to meet and work with undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and professional role models in STEM fields. The cost is $10, and students will be provided with a t-shirt and snacks when they arrive. Lunch will also be served. If you have questions regarding this event, please email k12stem@tulane.edu.

SWE is bringing its annual half-day student program, Invent It. Build It. (IIBI) — to New Orleans on Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, 900 Convention Center Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70130. If you have questions regarding this event, please email outreach@swe.org.

Pre-K-7th Grade Hearing & Vision Screenings l Tuesday, October 28

On Tuesday, October 28, hearing and vision screenings will be offered for Pre-K through 7th-grade students. Homeroom teachers will disperse hard copies of permission forms to the students. The form can also be found here. Please note that only those who have signed permission slips will be able to be screened. Those who have their permission forms signed need to bring any eyeglasses, contacts, and hearing aids at the time of the testing.

Lily House and ECLC Thanksgiving Feast l Friday, November 21

Ursuline's Close-Up Program Trip to D.C. l January 18-23, 2026

All 11th and 12th-grade students are invited to attend the annual Close-Up Foundation Washington, D.C. Program, scheduled for January 18-23, 2026. Before students can receive their Close-Up login information, they must submit a $150 deposit to Ursuline Academy. This non-refundable deposit should be paid by check and delivered to Mrs. Schlaudecker in Room 122. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Schlaudecker at cschlaudecker@uanola.org.

Bach Contest l Saturday, March 21, 2026

Ursuline Academy is proud and excited to once again host our annual Bach Contest on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The Ursuline Academy Bach Contest, founded in 1960 by Sr. Elizabeth Marie Landry, OSU, began with piano and now includes a strings division, and is open to all students in the greater New Orleans area.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor at Home

Each week, a designated student will take home an 11" resin statue of Our Lady of Prompt Succor along with an intention card. Each intention card will be collected and remembered in prayer by our community. Students will be able to keep Our Lady in their home from Friday through Tuesday, returning her to school on Wednesday.
