Elementary Counseling
-
A Message from the Elementary Counselor Jennifer Nettles: We are so excited to welcome our Grandfriends to campus for Mass on Friday, October 3. Remember, grandparents, a close friend, or a family member are welcome to attend Grandfriends' Day. While this is intended to be an amazing time of connection within our community, we understand that this could be a challenging time for some students. Please inform your teacher if a grandparent or close friend will not be able to attend with your student. Also, please let your teacher know if your student has recently experienced the loss of a grandparent. We want to provide the best support for the girls that we can.
- In September, Life Skills lessons for 1st through 6th grades have focused on key areas of personal development. 1st graders learn about understanding feelings, while 2nd graders explore building friendships, and 3rd graders develop a growth mindset. Older students will set goals in 4th grade, begin career exploration in 5th, and practice study skills in 6th grade.
High School Counseling
By now, seniors should have requested recommendation letters from teachers and started working on the Common App. Over the next few weeks, they should focus on finalizing their college list, completing applications, and drafting their college and scholarship essays.
