Special Holiday Recipe for Lawyers, Part 2
Justice Ginsburg and Martin Ginsburg
Continuing our weeks-long tradition of sharing holiday recipes with our loyal eBrief readers, we found an easy, comfort-food recipe perfect for chilly winter suppers.

This one comes straight from the kitchen of Martin Ginsburg , late husband of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg . We’re fans of any recipe that ends like this: “Remove from the pan, slice the meatloaf, and serve to the relentless applause of your grandchildren.”
Civil Justice Reforms Needed. USA Today Op-Ed Explains Why
Civil legal aid in Alabama - and America - is woefully underfunded, meaning too many citizens have no access to justice. A recent op-ed in USA Today explains why this matters and why the work of organizations like VLB is so important. Researchers found: “Millions of Americans can’t afford to pay an attorney. Consequently, in  three out of four state civil court cases , one or both sides have no legal representation or help.”
Remember to “like” VLB on Facebook, and visit our Facebook page to see all the Help Desk happenings and news about civil legal aid.
