Cardiologist Sarmad Said, MD
, has joined the medical staff of Visalia Medical Clinic and is accepting new patients. Dr. Said has offices in both Tulare and Visalia.
Dr. Said earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in Germany. He was board certified in internal medicine and cardiology before moving to the United States. He completed his U.S. medical residency training in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Texas Tech University Health Science Center.

Christopher Christiansen, MD
, joins the family medicine team this month.
Dr. Christiansen completed his postgraduate training as a family medicine resident physician at Kaweah Delta Health Care District. He earned his doctorate of medicine degree at Loma Linda University, and completed undergraduate studies at Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, Tenn.
Board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner Christy Nance-Chastain, PNP-BC, has joined VMC's pediatric team. She graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a master of science in nursing degree, primary care nurse practitioner, and has been in nursing over 15 years. She worked with VMC's Dr. Coverston while in training and her children are patients of VMC.
Ashley Parish, PA-C
, is now seeing patients at VMC's dermatology department. She received her medical education at Saint Francis University, San Joaquin Valley College and the Community College of the Air Force, and completed a medical/surgical dermatology fellowship. She sees patients to evaluate and treat common skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis and skin cancer.
