As an observer: If you wish to attend part of Convention outside of Episcopal Vo-Tech, including the 9 AM Saturday Eucharist, please notify Secretary of Convention John King via email to jking@dioceseofnewark.org no later than Monday, Jan. 28. There is a limited number of extra seats on the Convention floor, as well as an overflow room with closed-circuit TV coverage.
Via live stream: The Bishop's three-part Convention address will be live streamed to the diocesan YouTube channel at youtube.com/c/dionewark. She will give it during the Friday dinner at approximately 8 PM; during the 9 AM Saturday Eucharist which is being streamed in its entirety; and at the close of Convention at approximately 4 PM. To be notified when the live stream starts, go to youtube.com/c/dionewark, click the red "Subscribe" button, and then click the bell next to it to turn on notifications.

Episcopal Vo-Tech
SAT, FEB 2, 10:45 AM-12 NOON @ CONVENTION (HILTON MEADOWLANDS)
After a successful first venture at last year’s Convention, we are pleased to bring back this new program designed to create and enhance supportive networks of individuals in congregations that work on specific roles. It will run during Convention itself, in the workshop spaces while Convention is in session in the main ballroom on Saturday morning, February 2.

The Vo-Tech sessions being offered this year are for:

  • Property Managers and Buildings & Grounds members
  • Treasurers and Finance Committee members
  • Church Musicians
  • Food Pantry Ministries (those who have or are interested in supporting or starting one)
  • Sunday School Teachers

Cost: $25 (includes lunch). Deadline: Jan. 25. Find out more and register online.

Convention 2019
The 145th Annual Diocesan Convention will be held Friday, February 1 and Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Hilton Meadowlands in East Rutherford.
