God's gifts are for sharing
Bishop Hughes reflects on her time at a gathering hosted by the Iona Collaborative in the Diocese of Texas, where leaders are exploring how the Episcopal Church might share its gifts more generously. She invites us to see money, buildings, and all we have as gifts from God – meant not only for our own joy, but to bless our neighbors, our parishes, and the wider Church.

Stewardship Matters:
Announcing Invite Welcome Connect Grant Opportunity
By Cynthia McChesney
When we talk about stewardship, we might think first about managing budgets, caring for buildings, or protecting the beauty of creation. But one of God’s greatest gifts to us is people — those already in our church family and those we have yet to meet.
The Invite Welcome Connect ministry is about faithfully stewarding those relationships. This is why the Diocese of Newark is launching the Invite Welcome Connect Small Grant Opportunity — to give parishes tools and resources to cultivate these life-changing relationships. Read more.

Diocese of Newark 2026 budget deadline is September 1
The 2026 budget process will follow a similar process to the one adopted by Diocesan Council for use in preparing budgets in recent years. This process allows individuals and organizations to request funding as part of the 2026 Budget. The big change is that everything is happening earlier than in the past due to the desire to present a budget to Diocesan Convention in November. Funding requests for 2026 are due by September 1, 2025. Find out more.
