Diocesan Resources

Resources related to voting rights

A government by the people and for the people can only exist when everyone eligible is able to vote. We must be able to freely participate in all aspects of civil life, which includes voting, weighing in on important government decisions, and dissenting when we choose. We are God’s hands in the world: it is ours to act to protect voting rights.

Click here for resources related to voting rights prepared by the diocesan Commission for Justice and Peace.

Are you going to see A Case for Love on Jan. 23?

On January 23, a new film inspired by the leadership of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry will be screened at over a thousand theaters nationwide including in Clifton, Paramus, Rockaway and Wayne. (Watch the trailer at right.)

A Case for Love is a documentary that examines whether or not love, specifically unselfish love, is the solution to the extreme societal and political divide facing the US.

A Case For Love - Full Trailer - 2024 Documentary

Now, more than ever, we live in a divided society. Many have moved into tribal corners, seeing the world from an “us versus them” point of view. This documentary focuses on everyday people from across the U.S., striving to live their lives selflessly while representing various ethnicities, walks of life, and socio-economic backgrounds.

A number of parishes and Regional Ministry Networks are organizing group outings to see A Case for Love. Check with your parish or Region, or visit the A Case for Love website to buy individual tickets or learn about group sales.

January Poll

How do you feel about winter sports?
Love them! How else do you think I spend Presidents' Day weekend???
They're fun to watch... on TV... inside my warm house.
They leave me cold.
I'm too busy counting down to Pitchers & Catchers Day. Long live the Boys of Summer!
