THANKS FOR ATTENDING!!
2023 GVHS Annual Meeting & Educational Seminar
Boots 'n Bling Roundup
Recap by Ky Kelly
In February, I had the opportunity to attend the 2023 GVHS annual meeting and awards ceremony. It was so rewarding to be a part of the meetings with 80 GVHS members and Gypsy Vanner enthusiasts in attendance! We started off on Friday with learning more about the Gypsy Vanner breed and received lots of interesting information. There was a lot of talk about how we can each individually promote these beautiful Gypsy Vanner horses as well as how we can encourage more participation of the youth and younger generations! Even the newer members were provided with lots of educational knowledge.
Not only did we have the chance to learn a lot more about our horses and fellow horse people, we also had a lot of fun. We played lots of games and were able to win many desirable prizes. A few of the prizes consisted of saddle blankets, mugs, and free drinks!
Overall, we had a great time. We enjoyed each other’s company, sharing knowledge, playing games and laughing. There was a mechanical calf roping that had all of us grinning so hard it hurt. My personal favorite time was the award ceremony on Saturday. I enjoyed watching everyone receive their awards. I’ll never forget seeing the smiles and excitement on their faces.
I’d recommend to anyone to go if they are able to. Between the fun times, line dancing, and chances to win great prizes, there was so many great things going on. Did I fail to mention that there was even a drawing in which someone received a life long membership with GVHS?! I will forever remember the fantastic time I had while attending the annual meeting and I will surely attend again.
