This year, 40 students participated in Camp Via. Campers had fun while working on their personal goals by engaging in a number of activities and field trips.

The students visited the DaVinci Center and Imagi Nation to learn about science and different jobs in the community. They were active with the St. Luke's Sports Performance team and bounced around at Sky Zone. Campers also learned safety skills, nutrition tips, and how vegetables grow at the St. Luke's Rodale Institute Organic Garden.

Peter has Down syndrome and participates in Via's Community Connections program.

He volunteers at Meals on Wheels and enjoys interacting with his peers and Meals on Wheels clients. Peter also works on his personal goals including making informed choices and being safe when he is out in the community.

Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week will be celebrated around the country from September 10-16 to pay tribute to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for the important work they do to support people with disabilities.

Throughout the week, Via will celebrate our DSPs as Most Valuable Players (MVPs) for their hard work and dedication to our participants and their families.

The summer weather was perfect for our most recent participant Field Day.

Everyone enjoyed a few hours outside during a get-together hosted by Community Connections. They had a choice to play carnival games to win gift cards, make cotton candy, or just hang out with each other.
