What do teens and young adults with varying disabilities ages 14-21 who attend Camp Via do all summer to meet their individual goals?
They climb rock walls and complete a ropes course; learn about farming and caring for animals; go to baseball games and throw out first pitches; learn about science, healthy lifestyles, how laws are made, safety skills - and so much more.
Camp Via depends upon the support of businesses so campers can enjoy a summer of vocational exploration, education, socialization, and fun.
Thank you to St. Luke's University Health Network for sponsoring and planning a week of educational and fun activities. Thank you to BSI Corporate Benefits; King, Spry Herman, Freund & Faul LLC; and Hospital Central Services Corporation for sponsoring a day of Camp Via.
Thank you also, Campbell, Rappold & Yurasits; Embassy Bank; Fidelity Bank; Fulton Bank; UMPC Health Plan; UGI Utilities; and The Yurconic Agency for their support through the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. This support ensured that every camper who needed a scholarship to attend Camp Via received one.
If you are a business or individual that would like to ensure next year's Camp Via is successful, contact Michele Grasso, Vice President of Development and Communications, at M.Grasso@vianet.org or 484-893-5396.
