Our Participants are Sharing the Love!

We asked Via participants to share their love this Valentine's Day, and so many eagerly did just that!

Valentines were sent to our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) displayed in the front lobby at Via and delivered to our DSPs.

Here are just a few of the many messages we received. You can see more on our social media.

A Sweet Day Together

Participants in our Community Connections program recently enjoyed Valentine-themed activities at the Charles Chrin Community Center in Palmer Township.

They played Valentine-themed bingo and every participant got to choose a prize. They also played a life-size, Via-themed version of Candy Land. The game featured Via's Community Connections staff and places the participants love to visit in the community.

Lehigh Valley All-Star Classic

Mark your calendar for the Lehigh Valley Senior All-Star Classic & Hall of Fame Inductions on Sunday, March 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Northampton Community College.

This annual event honors the best basketball teams, players, coaches, and contributors in the Lehigh Valley. The event also spreads awareness of and raises money for the services that Via provides for individuals with disabilities.

Game schedules and more information can be found on their website.

Accessible Art

Participants in the Adult Training Facility recently took an All ACCESSible Tour at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem. During their visit, the participants saw the current exhibit, Bear in Mind, and then made stuffed creatures of their own with the Banana Factory staff.

The Banana Factory's ALL ACCESSible program provides a casual yet in-depth look at the unique space and visual art. Hands-on experiences provide an opportunity for those who benefit from a sensory-friendly approach.

Via's ATF participants take part in a variety of social and recreational activities, like the Banana Factory, to learn and develop social skills.
