Meet the Martinez Family
Allen, Pastor Martinez and Matthew
You probably received our spring appeal featuring the Martinezes. They’ve been a part of the Via family since 1999. Born and raised in Easton, Pastor Martinez has lived a life of service. He and his late wife, Doris, raised a large family and fostered 23 children. Two of their sons, Allen and Matthew, receive services from Via. 

“Via really looks out for my boys,” Pastor Martinez said. “I know that when they are with Via staff at their jobs or enjoying recreational and volunteer activities, they are being cared for. Even during COVID, they are getting services four days a week. It means a lot to me that when my sons are out with staff, I get to have a bit of me-time that I use for reflection and a cup of tea. Of course, I’m always available if my boys need me.”

The Volunteer Challenge is the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s signature program that pairs local businesses with nonprofit agencies to complete sustainable projects. Via was proud to pair with St Luke’s University Health Network again this year. St. Luke’s set up clothing donation boxes at eight of its locations and collected an amazing 10,841 lbs. of clothing sold through Via Thrift Store operations to benefit Via’s Services. Via truly appreciates this donation and our wonderful partnership with St. Luke’s.
