Scott, who has an autism spectrum disorder, is a member of a loving family. His father, Dan, a single parent, worked tirelessly to ensure Scott received the supportive services he needed as a child and student. Scott’s sister, Deanna helped her father and they both worked together so that all Scott’s needs were met.
Once Scott graduated from high school, his father reached out to Via for help. Dan said, “I can’t say enough about the people at Via and all they have done to help my son become independent and fulfilled. He loves going to work and feels truly valued. Scott has learned how to manage his money, make his own meals, clean his space and do his own laundry. He also has a much easier time in social situations. My daughter and I are so proud of him.”
