Dear Colleagues,   I hope you are finding time to reflect and recharge as we approach the end of the semester and calendar year. We are currently collecting information about the impact of COVID on tenured and tenure-track faculty’s research, so please be sure to fill out the survey that was sent out several weeks ago. The survey will close on December 10. Many thanks to all who have already completed it. Danforth Campus schools will use the survey data to help inform efforts to support faculty research.  This month’s newsletter highlights inspiring work happening across the Danforth campus. We also have exciting initiatives and programming to support faculty on all tracks and at all stages on the horizon for 2022. Enhanced Fertility Benefits for Faculty and Staff Over the past few years, HR and benefits leadership has closely followed the evolution of diversity policies and benefits nationally as well as monitoring demand for new benefits at the university. For 2022, the fertility lifetime benefit maximum will be further enhanced to provide $30,000 of medical coverage and $15,000 of pharmacy coverage ($45k total). The coverage in the Plan was also updated to provide an equal infertility benefit to members regardless of marital status or sexual orientation. Members should confirm details regarding the benefit with their insurance provider. Telehealth for Students is Here! As part of Washington University’s ongoing efforts to prioritize the health and well-being of the campus community, students paying the Student Health and Wellness fee now have immediate access to medical and mental health support through TimelyCare. This technology offers students a 24/7 campus health and counseling center partner that is as easy and convenient as making a video or phone call. Through the TimelyCare app on their phone or other device, WashU students can now select from a wide-ranging menu of virtual care options from licensed physicians and counselors in all 50 states – at no additional cost to them and without the hassle of traditional insurance – including:  ●     On-demand medical care ●     Appointment-based medical care ●     On-demand mental health support (TalkNow) ●     Appointment-based mental health counseling ●     Psychiatric support ●     Health coaching Students can learn more and create an account by visiting the TimelyCare website or by downloading the app. A faculty/staff 24/7 consultation hotline is available to support students in crisis at 833-4-TIMELY.
