A Message From Elizabeth Gottfried
Reading poetry can first strike us deeply without our understanding its meaning, like an outstretched hand welcoming more thought. This beautiful poem seems to open the door for Lenten reflection, and I hope you enjoy it.

Annunciation
Even if I don’t see it again—nor ever feel it
I know it is—and that if once it hailed me
it ever does—
And so it is myself I want to turn in that direction
not as towards a place, but it was a tilting
within myself,
as one turns a mirror to flash the light to where
it isn’t—I was blinded like that—and swam

Easter Lilies & Flower Baskets
Please consider making a donation towards the many spring flowers and Easter lilies that will decorate our church for Easter. This is a wonderful way to remember loved ones who have passed on or to give thanks for the blessings in your life. You may leave a check in the offering basket adding "Easter Flowers." You may also include a dedication to a loved one or a remembrance if you wish. Forms will be inserted into the bulletins and can also be found in the Common Room.
If you would like to contribute garden flowers and flowering shrub cuttings for our window baskets, please bring them to the church early on Saturday, April 4, 2026 beginning at 8:00 A.M. You may also leave them in buckets in front of the door to Reinhart Hall on
Friday evening. All are welcome to help with the assembly of the baskets.

Sign Up for Easter Brunch
We look forward to fellowship and a wonderful brunch after the 10:00 A.M. Easter Sunday service. Please sign up in the Common Room and let us know how many people will be attending the brunch. Consider volunteering for set up and clean up. We can't wait to see you there!

Lenten Bell Ringing
Many thanks to all those who are helping with our Lenten bell ringing. We have been ringing the bell at noon since March 18th and will continue until April 3. Mtr. SuEllen was able to catch Roger and Joan Warnke ringing the bell this past week. Please join us as Mtr. SuEllen leads us in prayer and reflection at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesdays.

Naming of the S. John and Elizabeth Trudeau Stage
Many of you remember John and Betty Trudeau. The family would like to share that the Britt Pavilion Stage will be formally named the S. John and Elizabeth Trudeau Stage. This will be celebrated this summer in Southern Oregon during the concert on June 27th. I am at Ascension Parish on Tuesdays from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. I am also at the church Wednesdays through Fridays, when my schedule varies, so it is best to meet me by appointment. If you would like to schedule a specific time to meet with me, please give me a call at 971-200-0970. Remember, I do make house calls as well. I am here to be of service to you.

Almighty God, you alone can bring into order the unruly wills and affections of sinners: Grant your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the swift and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
