Bring your dried-up Christmas greens, a dish to share, your favorite beverage(s), and a chair and gather for our annual Burning of the Greens! We’ll celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany by having a bonfire, saying Evening Prayer, eating yummy food, and just generally spending some time together.

The church office is closed on January 1. The Rector's Bible Study and Mid-Week Eucharist will not be held on January 1.

February 9^th will be filled with tackles and touchdowns as the 59^th Super Bowl takes place. But there’s something else you can tackle in the meantime: HUNGER! Did you know that 16.4% of Morgan County residents inexperience food insecurity?

That’s why – with the youth’s help – we’re collecting cans of soup for the CCC, NCC, and St. John’s own backpack ministry! Between now and Super Bowl Sunday (February 9) bring in cans of soup to help stock pantries in our community!

Cans can be left in the bins near the office. Thank you!

We'll kick of 2025 with a study of Accidental Saints: Finding God in All the Wrong People by Nadia Bolz-Weber. She shares her story of discovering God and encountering grace, even when she didn't want to, and being transformed by the experiences.

St. John's Ladies Night Out

Weekly Happenings

The Rector's Bible Study won't meet on January 1.

Bible Study returns Wednesday, January 8, 2025, with a new study of 1 Peter.

Mid-Week Holy Eucharist will not be held on January 1.

Altar flower dedications are given to the glory of God and in memory, thanksgiving, or celebration for people or events important to that day's flower donor. One dedication per Sunday is accepted; flower donations are $75. Please send the completed form with payment to the church office. Contact the office with questions.

It's planning and dreaming time for gardeners. Seed catalogs have arrived with possibly more to come, and it won't be long before local plant sales will be popping up. Be sure to watch for the swap meets where you can find many pass-along treasures!
