Share the Story

In case you missed it, we’d like to share with you again the new film that tells our story like it has never been told before. Watch The Viking Legacy as we celebrate our 60th anniversary of building a better boat every day.

Dark Fall Productions, which also filmed and produced The Viking Difference released in 2019, spent over a year on the project – 12 months of work for 12 minutes of magic. Filming took the company’s Co-owners – Alex DePhillipo and Andrew Gesler – from New Jersey to Costa Rica to Florida and back. They are known for literally diving into their work, bringing in-water footage to the screen. The duo’s dramatic filmmaking shines in The Viking Legacy, shot on RED digital cinema.

“We are very proud of this film and excited to show it to the world,” says Andrew, shown above filming at the Viking plant in New Gretna. “We grew up in New Jersey and have always loved Vikings and admired the Healey family. So having the opportunity to tell this story and celebrate 60 years has been very special.”

“It was an honor to work with the legendary Viking Yacht Company,” says Alex, pictured above during an in-water shoot in Costa Rica. “They are truly dedicated to building a better boat every day. We thoroughly enjoyed capturing their passion for boatbuilding, dedication to their people, love of fishing and leadership of this great industry.”

The duo, who founded their company in 2010, are avid anglers and surfers who have combined their love of the water and the outdoors with their devotion to filmmaking.

“Alex and Andrew are passionate about what they do – just like us,” says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “They did an incredible job telling the Viking story.”

We urge you to share the film with friends and family; it’s readily available through our website and on the Viking Yachts YouTube channel.
