Dear Viking Families,
Today was a very special day at St. Veronica Catholic School, as our students in Grades 4–8 had the unique opportunity to witness a Naturalization Ceremony hosted on our campus in partnership with the U.S. District Courts. It was a powerful moment for our students to observe the judicial system in action and to reflect on the gift of citizenship. Students, faculty, and guests alike were inspired by the ceremony, as we were all reminded of the diverse and welcoming nation we call home.
I am incredibly proud of our students, who demonstrated reverence and respect as they watched individuals from around the world take their oaths and officially become American citizens. It was a beautiful example of living our Gospel values of dignity, community, and compassion.
As we continue our Lenten journey, we remain committed to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving during this Fifth Week of Lent. These pillars help guide our hearts as we prepare to celebrate the joy of Easter. We encourage all families to continue engaging in meaningful Lenten practices at home—together, we grow stronger in faith.
Looking ahead, the most sacred time in our liturgical calendar is upon us. Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday Masses at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM. I invite all of our families to participate in the beautiful liturgies and traditions offered throughout the week, both here at school and within our parish family. This is a special opportunity to walk closely with Jesus through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection—and to experience the hope and joy of Easter as a united community.
May this season of Lent continue to deepen our faith and bring us ever closer to Christ.
God bless,
Stephanie Woodall, Principal
